Weekly News on Saturday 15 October 2022

Dear Church Community,

Good evening,

Today’s weekly news comes a little later to your email inbox than intended! I’ve just come back from the fireworks on Blackpool promenade. The final parts of the display lit up the skies above the beach with a dazzling array of gold. This reminds us of the upcoming celebrations awaiting us as we anticipate the story of the heavenly host of angels above the shepherd’s fields near Bethlehem announcing the birth of the saviour. I know, it isn’t Christmas yet. However I’m pleased to say that in another email to come tomorrow news of our Advent and Christmas services and events will be published.

BUT, before then, it is Harvest! Tomorrow morning we will be giving thanks for God’s provision and we’ll be giving back to God as an act of worship our gifts of food which will help those in need.
