CRECHE FACILITY

——————————-

At the 11:00 AM service on a Sunday we are looking to provide a creche facility in the Community Centre Hall. There will be comfy sofas, playmats and toys, with the service from in Church streamed to the big screen in the Hall. The thinking behind this is it might help parents and grandparents know they have the option to take babies into the Hall and to stay with them without missing out on the service. Please know that babies and children of all ages are always welcome at church services. We don’t mind whether they are asleep or making themselves heard! But we understand for their own sakes that sometimes mums and dads need somewhere comfortable and more suitable to help keep their littles ones engaged and happy. Do let us know if you think this will be useful – we are geared up to start it very soon if so. The creche will need parents to stay with their children at all times and they are welcome to come back into Church at any point they wish to.

If you are interested in playing in future matches, do get in touch. We will be playing in fixtures with other churches across Lancashire, all for the purpose of fellowship and mission.

ALEXANDRA COURT RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME

——————————-

We are now once again visiting Alexandra Court once a month to lead a service of worship for the residents. It will usually take place on the first Friday of the month at 10:30 AM. Do give thanks for the opportunity and pray for the team involved.

KITCHEN PROCEDURES TRAINING

——————————-

The new kitchen in the Community Centre has been a terrific blessing to the ministry and mission of the church. Another blessing is the number of volunteers helping. In the coming months there will be some training sessions for volunteers to attend to run through afresh some of the procedures in the kitchen, such as dishwasher operation, food storage and labelling, safety, cleaning, and crockery locations. Watch out for the dates in future weekly news emails.

If you have completed the Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Training please leave your certificate in the Church Office.

DINING CHAIRS NEEDED

——————————-

Two people connected to the church family who have recently been granted asylum are in need of dining room chairs. Ideally, this will be four matching chairs. If you can help, please get in touch.

——————————-

FRIDGE AVAILABLE

——————————-

A member of the church community would like to donate a large AEG grey family fridge to anyone who could make use of it. The interior is in very good condition. The exterior has a few slight marks on the side. The dimensions are height 180cm, width 60cm, depth 66cm. It is an excellent fridge which might be a blessing to a family who need one.

——————————-

AIR DRYER AVAILABLE

——————————-

A member of the church community has a hardly-used Lakeland Air Pod Dryer which she is willing to give away to a family for whom it might help dry childen’s clothes during these difficult times of high energy prices. It’s only been used twice. Please get in touch if you or someone you know can make use of it.

Yours in His service,

Damian
